At Jeavons Wood School, we are passionate about providing a comprehensive and enriching music education for all our students. Our music curriculum, guided by the Kapow scheme of work, ensures that every child receives high-quality music instruction. Through engaging lessons and diverse musical experiences, our students learn to appreciate and create music, fostering a deep and lasting love for the art.
Our vibrant music program includes a dedicated choir for Years 5 and 6. On alternate years, our choir participates in the prestigious Young Voices event in Birmingham, where they have the incredible opportunity to sing alongside thousands of other children. This memorable experience allows them to perform in front of parents and family members at the Resorts World Arena, creating cherished memories.
Singing is at the heart of our school community. We hold weekly singing assemblies led by a music specialist, where children come together to celebrate the joy of music. Additionally, our students in Years 2, 4, and 6 showcase their talents through end-of-term productions during the Christmas, Easter, and Summer terms, respectively.
At Jeavons Wood School, we believe in the power of music to inspire, unite, and enrich the lives of our students. We are committed to nurturing their musical abilities and helping them discover the joy and beauty of music.
