Governance

The board of trustees of The CAM Academy Trust delegate responsibilities for our schools to a Local Advisory Board (LAB) in line with the Trust's Scheme of Delegation.

Our Local Advisory Board (LAB) is made up of people who want to make a positive contribution to children’s education.

The role of the Local Advisory Board is a strategic one and its key functions are to:

  • set the aims and objectives for each school
  • support procedures for achieving those aims and objectives
  • monitor and evaluate the progress each school is making
  • be a source of challenge and support to the headteacher (a critical friend)

The LAB both challenges and supports the headteacher to improve pupils' progress and to ensure the ethos and values of the school continue to align with those of the Trust.

The LAB meets four times a year to ensure the successful operation of the school.

Previous meetings minutes are available upon request.

Pecuniary Interests

The Local Advisory Board members sign an annual register disclosing any pecuniary interests they may have. Each meeting agenda requires all attendees to disclose any pecuniary interests related to agenda items to be discussed.

The full register is available to view on request at the school office.
