As part of The Cam Academy Trust we have strong partnerships with the other Trust primary phase schools:
We are also part of the CB23 network which is made up of the schools who feed into our Trust secondary schools, Cambourne Village College and Comberton Village College. Together we provide opportunities to develop and support each other through Teaching and Learning Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities and joint events for the children. The school works closely with each of the partner schools throughout the year with a varied schedule of training and development opportunities for staff and joint events and activities for students.
The school also works with a range of other partners. We support students from Homerton College, with teacher training, and from Cambridge Regional College. We have staff at the school who are Specialist Leaders in Education or who have other areas of expertise to support other schools.
We work with The Perse School in Cambridge to provide maths enrichment for our high-achieving Year Six children.
Additionally, we work with a play therapist, young carers, The Emotional Health and Well-being team and the Acorn Trust, who all support children with emotional health and well-being.
The school employs a full-time Inclusion and Family worker, who works with children and parents. Family workers are also available to support parents and run drop-in sessions and workshops for parents.
There is a range of clubs on offer for children at lunchtime and after school run by staff and other partners, from Mandarin classes, drama and science to sports activities.
Throughout the year we engage with many local partners through activities in the community, from singing for charity to visits to local sports clubs and providers.
